It’s Groundhog Day! Will the groundhog see its shadow today?
I made groundhogs by colouring some rice with dark soya sauce, used nori to make some claws and picks for their ears. I covered some rice with inari (sweetened soy bean sheets) to represent the ground. The groundhogs have their paws out on the ground and are peeping out.
The broccoli is more yellowish than green today as these had been at the back of the fridge which I had overlooked so I quickly stir-fried them before they go bad. Toasted some fish fingers to add into their lunch, and the chocolate cupcake was from my lunch set the day before, I saved it for the kids as I am not a big fan of chocolate.
Here’s a close-up at the bentos:
This will be linked up at Robot Squirrel And The Monkeys for the Groundhog Day linky. Do check out the other cute groundhogs my fellow bloggers have made!
