I am joining my fellow bento bloggers for another blog hop today. I thought it would be a fun idea to see some gingerbread men building a gingerbread house, so I made this bento with that idea in mind.
The gingerbread men are made of rice darkened with teriyaki sauce and a dash of dark soy sauce. The gingerbread house is made of rice covered with aburaage (sweetened tofu pouch) and decorated with pieces I cut out from crab stick.
The side dishes are fried sotong (squid) which we bought from Old Chang Kee and a fried fish ball. I added a small mandarin orange, oh my, these are so sweet!
